Halloween Speech and Language Activities
It’s such a fun time of the year! Pumpkins, costumes, candy and decorations. It’s the start of the holiday season, and first up is Halloween. I love this time of year because I can incorporate the season and holidays into my speech therapy sessions. I have some tried and true activities and books I always use, but this year I tried out some new activities that have really been a big hit with both my kids at home and the kids I work with. So here they are, my top 5 the kids have really been enjoying, and I know they will be my go to throughout the month!
What can I work on with these?
Stacking and practicing the words “up” or “stack” if you’re working on those “s” blends.
Turn taking with stacking and knocking down. A great first game for kids to play between themselves.
Making a choice with which bean bag to toss
“Oh no” when they fall
Asking to do it again
4. Halloween Books: What am I Halloween and Boo Bark!
Hope you are able to check out some of these fun activities and incorporate them into your October days!
