Welcome to FUN WITH PHONICS!

A Play-Based Speech & Literacy Camp for Ages 4–6

Fun with Phonics is where playful learning meets early literacy and speech sound development, giving your child the tools they need to enter Pre-K or Kindergarten with confidence, strong communication, and foundational phonics skills.

Led by licensed speech-language pathologists, this camp is packed with movement, hands-on play, songs, storytelling, and developmentally appropriate pre-reading activities designed to make learning sounds and letters fun and meaningful.

Each day follows our signature multisensory routine:

  • See It – recognize the letters of the day with visual and tactile supports

  • Say It – practice speech sounds using fun, age-appropriate articulation cues

  • Sing It – engage in sound-based songs and rhymes

  • Play It – build fine motor skills and phonics connections through themed activities

  • Read It – enjoy daily read-alouds with rich sound repetition

  • Write It – explore letter formation through tracing and creative decorating

  • Feel It – engage in sensory-based activities to reinforce sound-letter awareness

Each sound we teach is grouped by how the sound is made in the mouth — a unique approach that supports both speech clarity and phonics mastery.

What to Expect

Who This Camp Is For:

  • Children ages 4-6 preparing for Pre-K or Kindergarten

  • Kids who are learning to speak clearly, identify sounds, and match them to letters

  • Families looking for a fun, structured, and skill-building summer experience

  • Parents who want their child to feel confident in a more academic early learning setting

Whether your child is already in speech therapy or just beginning to explore sounds and letters, this camp meets them where they are and helps them grow.

Why It Works:

We group sounds by how and where they’re made (lips, tongue, etc.)

  • This matches how kids naturally learn to speak

  • Kids learn to feel the sound, see the letter, and connect the two

  • It builds a stronger bridge between speaking and reading

  • Perfect for kids developing clear speech and learning phonics

Each camper receives our Speech Sounds and Phonics home program so families can easily continue practicing the skills introduced during camp.
